Strawberry Plains Audubon Center
The Strawberry Plains Audubon Center is a few miles north of Holly Springs, Mississippi. The Center offers nearly 2600 acres of natural and preserved environment comprised of creeks, fields, gardens and 14 miles of nature trails. Open 8-4 Tue.through Sat.  By paying a measly $3, you can stroll the grounds for a solid 8 hours.  For an additional $5, you can tour the restored antebellum home.

Sardis Lake and Dam
Sardis Lake is a 98,520-acre reservoir on the Little Tallahatchie River in Lafayette, Panola, and Marshall counties, Mississippi. Sardis Lake is impounded by Sardis Dam, located nine miles (14 km) southeast of the town of Sardis. It is approximately an hour drive from Memphis
